How do I add scent to an Unscented product?

You’ll need to conduct your own testing to determine the percentage load that works best. This will ultimately depend on the customer experience you’d like to create. 

Different oils, scents and combinations will have unique reactions with the soap or detergent formulas. There is no generic ratio that will work for all scents and soaps together.

Our exact numbers are proprietary information, so running your own trials will help you find the balance that works for your needs.

We recommend doing small test batches with about 4 oz of product, beginning with the smallest amount of fragrance and slowly adding more until you reach your desired scent and consistency. Keep in mind that Rustic Strength uses only the minimal amount of preservative necessary for safety and shelf stability. The addition of excessive scent or other ingredients will require adding your own preservative as well.
